Nick Harrington, has been playing professionally for the last 25 years and has created a successful drum teaching business serving individuals, schools and groups in South East Kent. Nick has a very enthusiasic approach to teaching which encourages students to express themselves naturally.
Nick is 42, married with two children, he comes from a drumming family, his father was a professional drummer for many years and his elder brother is a keen player. He started at age 12 and was gigging and teaching by the time he was 18. Nick is a very versatile drummer and teacher, he currently plays in a Pink Floyd tribute band as well as swing band. In 1997 he studied at Drum-Tech in London to upgrade his skills which were hugely beneficial and has helped him to become a great all round drummer and teacher. He mainly teaches the drum set but also does samba drum circles which are great for schools and team building events.
Nick is very aware of the therapeutic value of drumming and has had a lot of experience teaching children with severe emotional problems. He is involved in 10 schools, he has other drum teachers helping who have been influenced by his methods and provides private tuition. Nick has recently released his debut DVD ‘Express yourself Drumming’ and will be making more in the future.
